30 Days of Thanksgiving

Let these verses serve as a tool to either begin or maintain your own discipline of thanking God.  Read the designated verse for each day, and let it prompt you to prayers of thanksgiving.  You could also choose verses from this list to memorize over time to help continue an attitude of thanksgiving.

Some options on how to utilize this “30 Days of Thanksgiving” tool:
> You could let the 30 days span the month of November in preparation of Thanksgiving.
> You could also begin the 30 days on Thanksgiving Day, continuing your focus of thanksgiving up to Christmas Day.
> You could span any 30 day period or even divide up the verses over any period that is beneficial for you.
The goal is simply to allow this tool to encourage your discipline of thanksgiving!

[  ] DAY 1—“Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.” 1 Chronicles 16:8

[  ] DAY 2—“I will thank the Lord because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.” Psalm 7:17

[  ] DAY 3—“Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord! For though I was poor and needy, he rescued me from my oppressors.” Jeremiah 20:13

[  ] DAY 4—“I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.” Psalm 9:1

[  ] DAY 5—“Let me say first that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith in him is being talked about all over the world.” Romans 1:8

[  ] DAY 6—“The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” Psalm 28:7

[  ] DAY 7—“Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you.” Romans 6:17

[  ] DAY 8—“I will fulfill my vows to you, O God, and will offer a sacrifice of thanks for your help.” Psalm 56:12

[  ] DAY 9—“But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57

[  ] DAY 10—“I will thank you, Lord, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations.” Psalm 57:9

[  ] DAY 11—“But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume.” 2 Corinthians 2:14

[  ] DAY 12—“We thank you, O God! We give thanks because you are near. People everywhere tell of your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 75:1

[  ] DAY 13—“Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!” 2 Corinthians 9:15

[  ] DAY 14—“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High.” Psalm 92:1

[  ] DAY 15—“And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:20

[  ] DAY 16—“Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him.” Psalm 95:2

[  ] DAY 17—“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:6

[  ] DAY 18—“Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.” Psalm 106:1

[  ] DAY 19—“We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly.” 1 Thessalonians 1:2

[  ] DAY 24—“I thank you for answering my prayer and giving me victory!” Psalm 118:21

[  ] DAY 25—“And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:17

[  ] DAY 26—“As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!” Psalm 119:7

[  ] DAY 27—“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.” 1 Timothy 2:1

[  ] DAY 28—“I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.” Psalm 138:2

[  ] DAY 29—“And they said, “We give thanks to you, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who always was, for now you have assumed your great power and have begun to reign.” Revelation 11:17
